Thelma and Louise are a very bonded pair, and both have some extra needs due to ailments from neglected preventive care from their previous owner. Both girls are currently being treated for UTIs and for a Tick-Borne illness.
These two are Velcro pups!! If they are not snoozing, they are where their humans are. ❤️
- Decent on leashes and after their initial excitement for a walk subsides
- Get along great with other dogs
- They are unbothered by cats or other small animals (but will follow the pack if another dog starts a chase)
- Healthy appetites, not picky about type of food, and no resource guarding (they are some very cute, but not aggressive beggars! 😉)
- They do well in the car, except for when the car stops and they get excited
They know how to use a doggy door (Yay) and are working on potty training! However, we learned after an escape from their temporary foster’s yard that a home with a solid fence or a home where they only go outside on walks with leashes is a must.
They are the sweetest and pretty low energy inside. They get very excited to go on walks and still love to follow scents.
They do have bad separation anxiety with howling, which probably contributed to the escape — they want to be where their people are! BRSM has a list of trainers that we can recommend to work with T&L on their separation anxiety issues as they adjust to a new foster and/or forever home.
