Meet Bentley and Wrigley!
Wrigley and Bentley are 11-year-old bonded sisters who have already endured one heartbreaking loss: after a lifetime together in a loving home, they found themselves in a shelter when their owner passed away. Despite the upheaval, these sweet girls have shown nothing but resilience, gentleness, and love. Since coming into foster care, they’ve settled beautifully into home life and have proven themselves to be true companion dogs in every sense of the word.
They adore all the simple comforts of home — curling up on the couch beside you, snoozing in soft dog beds, soaking up the sunshine on the patio, and melting into head scratches and belly rubs. Both girls have the kindest eyes and will gaze up at you with pure adoration while being pet. They are affectionate dogs who clearly spent their lives loving and being loved.
For senior beagles adjusting to so much change, they’ve done remarkably well. They are quiet in the house, rarely barking or baying, and appear to be fully housetrained with almost no accidents — even from the very beginning. They’ve been fully vetted, are in good health for their age, and will soon receive much-needed dental care so they can continue enjoying their golden years comfortably.
Each sister has her own charming personality. Wrigley still has a playful spark and loves a game of fetch — she’ll proudly bring you a tennis ball whenever she’s ready to play. She also enjoys walks and even a little jog now and then. Bentley is the more leisurely soul of the pair, happiest taking her time to sniff every interesting scent along the way. Together, they make the perfect companions for someone who appreciates slow walks, cozy evenings, and the quiet joy of loyal dogs by their side.
They’ve coexisted peacefully with the resident dogs in foster care, but truthfully, they would thrive most in a home where they can soak up as much love and attention as possible. These girls simply want to be near their people. After losing their person once, they deserve to feel safe, cherished, and home again.
Like most beagles, they’re motivated by treats and curious about food, but they’re wonderfully well-mannered with basic beagle-proofing. They’ve shown no destructive behaviors and have adapted quickly to household routines — even sleeping peacefully through the night by their second night in foster care.
It’s impossible not to fall in love with Wrigley and Bentley. Watching them decompress from the stress of shelter life and blossom into relaxed, loving house dogs has been incredibly rewarding. The thought of them returning to a shelter or boarding environment is truly heartbreaking. What they need now is stability, softness, and someone willing to open their heart and home to two dogs who still have so much love left to give.
Wrigley and Bentley have already lost the home they knew. They shouldn’t have to lose comfort, security, and family again.
Here’s how they’ve done in their foster home!
(Bentley and Wrigley’s adoption fee will be discounted to encourage adopters to take in both of these ladies!)
