Meet Trixie!
One of Trixie’s owners passed away, and she is looking for a new home!
Trixie is quite intelligent. She knows her name and will come when called. She’s house-trained using a doggy door with a fenced yard. Trixie is a cuddle bug and can be the most loveable pup in the house, plus, she enjoys her toys and will not destroy them.
She’s also AWARE OF INTRUDERS! Yes, Trixie is a barker, so is not a good fit for a family living in an Apartment or a townhouse. Living so close to others can become an issue for neighbors.
She’s also spicy 🌶️ — Trixie can (and will) jump a 4’ fence, so she needs a solid 6’ fence with a barrier underneath to prevent digging.
Much like a toddler, if it’s quiet for more than 10 minutes and she’s outside alone, you should look to see what she is up to. 🤪 If you leave shoes, important papers, food, medicines, baking flour, etc. available to her, you will be unhappy with yourself.
Trixie likes other friendly dogs, but has not lived with a cat.
Trixie would thrive in a younger, active family, perhaps with children older than 6 yrs who will play with her and teach her tricks and manners.
Here’s what Trixie’s loving owner said: “I learned from Trixie. She is a good teacher. I love Trixie and am giving her a new home because at 86 yrs old and disabled, I know that she will outlive me, and I would like her settled into a home that can and will give her the love and attention that she deserves for the rest of her life. Just please keep her safe from harm.” ❤️
