Meet Charlotte!
Charlotte is a cute, tiny female who can definitely live with another dog or dogs, just as long as they aren’t fed together.
Here’s some information from her foster mom:
She has soft little pads on her paws and with her nails being so long and sharp, I wouldn’t be surprised if she hadn’t been outside for regular walks. But, she’s great at walking. Doesn’t pull on her harness, doesn’t bark at other dogs, greets everyone that we come across, even as our beagle is doing the opposite of all that.
She’s a slow eater and guards the food when she’s done. I think she has bad teeth and has difficulty chewing. She’s got typical super sonic beagle smell, and seems to be able to smell the cats every time they move. We would suggest a cet-free home for her due to her high interest.
She is also very attentive to everything happening outside the windows, I usually can’t even see what she’s barking at. It’s a very shrill bark, so I don’t think a townhouse like ours is the best fit. She’s not bad at all, just a counter surfer and trying to get through the gate for the cats. I have a feeling she’s never had any training because she’s just a natural sweetheart.
I was able to trim her dew claws, and they hadn’t yet completely grown back in. She’s been licking at her nails more, and one of the longer ones just came off on its own. Again, I doubt she’s used to walking, and she’s probably noticing the claws now that she’s getting a few miles a day.
She loves people. I’ve been telling everyone we meet on walks that she’s a foster. I want someone around here to adopt her so I can visit with her!
