Meet Bob St. Mary’s!

Bob is a gentle, 12 year old senior. After spending most of his life living outside and serving as a hunting dog, Bob and two other Beagles were brought to a shelter in Southern Maryland because the previous owner “did not need them anymore”. 🥺

In the beginning, Bob did not want to have much to do with people, which is understandable. He is now warming up and is gently wagging his tail when foster mom is bringing food. Like many older dogs, he has some lumps and bumps, but nothing that concerned our vet.

Noises like lawn movers or trucks still scare him, so we don’t think he is a good choice for someone living in a busy town setting. This timid Beagle boy wants to feel safe in a quiet home that may have a backyard for him to go and sniff a bit — leash walking is still not his thing. If you can offer him a safe place, love, patience and some food (he is not picky), come and meet him at one of our adoption events!
