Meet April!
Say hello to April, a 7-year-old, 33 lb beagle mix in need of a home ASAP. Her current owners have given us until July 31st to find her a home before they drop her at a shelter.
April is sweet, playful, and energetic. She hasn’t had much exercise aside from romping in a large backyard and going on occasional walks. She would benefit from being walked regularly and having someone to play with. April will chase a ball, and jump to catch toys (and food)–she hasn’t quite grasped the concept of bringing the ball or toy back, but that’s a work in progress.
April is gentle and protective with the family’s young grandchild, even running around the house to find a human when she would cry to alert a family member that the baby needed attention! 😍
April gets along with dogs, but has a liking for dogs her size. At the dog park, April shies away from groups of very small and extremely large dogs, so she does have a reserved side.
April is healthy, fully housetrained and crate trained. She comes when called and lets her family know when she wants to go out.
A loving home is her comfort zone, and we know there’s one waiting for her.
